Make a lasting impression at your next event like Cheryl and Samantha Ko in a devilish red gown. Cheryl is wearing a Zuhair Murad gown in the Xfactor Sunday Finale, whereas Samantha is wearing a Hong Kong Couture dress by Kev Yiu in the 2014 TVB Awards.
Both gowns have heavy attention to detail, and features a sweetheart neckline. Draped swathes of silk-gazar create an elegant and flattering silhouette, while a frothy tulle underlay adds extra volume at the skirt. The black heavily beaded panel across Samantha’s dress draw the eye in to a slim waist. Re-create the glamorous look from the runway with sandals, sparkling jewelry and a gold clutch.
Zhang Ziyi wore a J.Mendel gown to the 51st Golden Horse Film Awards in Taipei, Taiwan.
The gown is from the Resort 2015 collection; an exquisite lace netted top with a mint leaf design is printed throughout the black skirt. The waist is accented with an orange detail around that area. Ziyi completed her outfit with a matching clutch, statement green earrings and chignon styled hair.
The golden couple, Amal and George Clooney held their wedding at the seven-star Aman Canal Grande Hotel last September in front of 90 special guests.
The wedding gown was elegant, embroidered with diamante and pearls and featured a circular train, while the off the shoulder design was in some way similar to Frozen’s Princess Elsa gown.
The legendary Oscar de la Renta has truly made Amal’s dress dress, ‘It’s the most important dress in the life of a woman,’ . ‘Any girl from any walk of life dreams of that special dress, and I try to make that dream a reality for her.’
When it comes to H&M Designer collaborations, Nicole Scherzinger knows the perfect time to wear these sold out pieces. This year, she wears the Alexander Wang x H&M Scuba dress on her a last-minute appearance in Abu Dhabi, to support her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, at the Yas Marina racetrack. Here, he managed to take his second Formula 1 world title.
The sold out exclusive designer collaboration dress from H&M is a short, figure-fit dress in scuba fabric with wide, wraparound elasticated straps with the logo ‘Wang’ emblazoned at the waist. It also features a seam under the bust, and a cut-out section and visible zip at the back. The scuba texture gives it a sporty edge and it looks great styled simply with peep toe ankle boots. Although it was sold out during launch on 6th November; there are still some hanging around on the website (just keep tab of it daily!).
Elizabeth Banks wore a Elie Saab Fall 2014 Couture gown for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ premiere held at Odeon Leicester Square.
Elizabeth looked breathtaking with an exquisite stormy print pattern throughout the floor-sweeping gown. Cut from fluid stretch silk-blend chiffon, this delicately embellishmented elegant design has a deep v neck with an alluring underlay peeking through. The nipped waist is accentuated by a contrasting belt. She completed the outfit with classic diamond earrings and strappy sandals.
After a long week: Bonfire night, seeing none of the H&M Alexander Wang collection left in store, and watching the Christmas Lights being switched on in Manchester, I have finally sat down and found time to update with a new blog post. This outfit is inspired by G.E.M (鄧紫棋) in the ‘I am Singer’ (我是歌手) competition, singing 存在. G.E.M wears a flowing white see-through blouse and a crop top. Here, I am wearing a solid, swirled, pattered blouse by & Other Stories made of flowing silk. The body-hugging cut to the waistline, the double-layered band collar with a 3-button silhouette and the concealed button placket with a 4-button silhouette ensure a perfect fit. The blouse features a structured collar and a dip-hem design which flows at the waistline. I simply teamed it with black jeans and flat shoes for casualness and comfort.
For Xfactor Fright Night, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wears a Ziad Nakad, dress No 26 from the Haute Couture AW14. The gown is romantic yet modern. Cut from swathes of sheer silk-chiffon, this sheer design beautifully moves with each step. It has an alluring plunge front and is nipped-in at the waist. I love how the intricate design offers coverage through the body while highlighting the intricacy of the fabric. Cheryl looked amazing in this assemble!
Unfortunately this attention to detail dress by the genius designer is not available to buy.
The Zara bold red mini skirt in is a fast-track to effortlessly chic cool, it is neatly defined at the waist to shape a flattering A-line silhouette. The smooth finish is created by the fully lined skirt. It is worn simply with a peach peter pan collared shirt and flat pointed ballerina pumps, the bold skirt is my go-to for instant style whether dressing up or dressing down. And at £35.99, you can’t go wrong.
This year’s H&M Design Award winner is 24 year old Eddy Anemian from France. A massive congratulations to him!!
His designs are avaliable online today and in selected stores. I absolutely adore the yellow printed maxi dress, but sadly it has already sold out, his designs are inspired by the film I Am Love starring Tilda Swinton and particularly paintings. And it does’t come cheap at £179.99.
