When it comes to H&M Designer collaborations, Nicole Scherzinger knows the perfect time to wear these sold out pieces. This year, she wears the Alexander Wang x H&M Scuba dress on her a last-minute appearance in Abu Dhabi, to support her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, at the Yas Marina racetrack. Here, he managed to take his second Formula 1 world title.
The sold out exclusive designer collaboration dress from H&M is a short, figure-fit dress in scuba fabric with wide, wraparound elasticated straps with the logo ‘Wang’ emblazoned at the waist. It also features a seam under the bust, and a cut-out section and visible zip at the back. The scuba texture gives it a sporty edge and it looks great styled simply with peep toe ankle boots. Although it was sold out during launch on 6th November; there are still some hanging around on the website (just keep tab of it daily!).
After a long week: Bonfire night, seeing none of the H&M Alexander Wang collection left in store, and watching the Christmas Lights being switched on in Manchester, I have finally sat down and found time to update with a new blog post. This outfit is inspired by G.E.M (鄧紫棋) in the ‘I am Singer’ (我是歌手) competition, singing 存在. G.E.M wears a flowing white see-through blouse and a crop top. Here, I am wearing a solid, swirled, pattered blouse by & Other Stories made of flowing silk. The body-hugging cut to the waistline, the double-layered band collar with a 3-button silhouette and the concealed button placket with a 4-button silhouette ensure a perfect fit. The blouse features a structured collar and a dip-hem design which flows at the waistline. I simply teamed it with black jeans and flat shoes for casualness and comfort.
For Xfactor Fright Night, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini wears a Ziad Nakad, dress No 26 from the Haute Couture AW14. The gown is romantic yet modern. Cut from swathes of sheer silk-chiffon, this sheer design beautifully moves with each step. It has an alluring plunge front and is nipped-in at the waist. I love how the intricate design offers coverage through the body while highlighting the intricacy of the fabric. Cheryl looked amazing in this assemble!
Unfortunately this attention to detail dress by the genius designer is not available to buy.
The Zara bold red mini skirt in is a fast-track to effortlessly chic cool, it is neatly defined at the waist to shape a flattering A-line silhouette. The smooth finish is created by the fully lined skirt. It is worn simply with a peach peter pan collared shirt and flat pointed ballerina pumps, the bold skirt is my go-to for instant style whether dressing up or dressing down. And at £35.99, you can’t go wrong.
This year’s H&M Design Award winner is 24 year old Eddy Anemian from France. A massive congratulations to him!!
His designs are avaliable online today and in selected stores. I absolutely adore the yellow printed maxi dress, but sadly it has already sold out, his designs are inspired by the film I Am Love starring Tilda Swinton and particularly paintings. And it does’t come cheap at £179.99.
Get ahead of the Autumn weather with a thick fluffy jumper. Elevate your separates collection with the simple stunning investment pieces. Casual yet glamorous, these designs will take you from day to night in style throughout the Autumn Winter season. With a high neck you can leave the scarves at home and complete your look with a statement embellished necklace. My favourites are ones made with a mohair blend; it has a luxurious feel, keeps me warm and doesn’t feel overly heavy.
Eva Longoria had a change of seven outfits during The American Latino Media Arts Awards (ALMA Awards) on October 11 in Pasadena, California. They celebrated the best American Latino contributions to music, television and film. Being the host explained Eva’s many outfits…
My favourite outfit is a white strapless gown by Gabriela Cadena, joint closely by the mustard yellow gown from Bibhu Mohapatra Fall 2014. The first gown has gold leather detailing and portrays a very modern princess feel, in contrast, Mohapatra’s gown has a sexy image. Which one’s your favourite?
Alexander Wang has created a 38 piece collection for H&M, it boasts the widely anticipated sporty designs that the designer is famous for: signature scuba dresses, logo-emblazoned socks and dark American sport wear theme. The designer has already caused a stir when he was announced as the next designer after Isabel Marant. Tomorrow (17th), at 2:15am there will be a live stream of the collection on http://wangxhmlive.hm.com.
However, for me, I’m not completely sold: it’s natural to not be everyones cup of tea. I only like the 1st dress below. The rest of pieces are shrieking for attention and unless you already gain attention like Rihanna and Rita Ora, I wouldn’t wear it in public. Gym wear… possibly…. -_-‘ But as an off duty look, it should be truly comfortable, and that’s not me.
A whole month after the designer collaboration with Target (14th Sept), the collection is still widely available at NET-A-PORTER.COM, the line features Altuzarra’s signature sleek tailoring, feminine dresses and accessories. “I always want there to be a feeling of beauty and sensuality to my designs”. Joseph Altuzarra’s eponymous label seamlessly blends French sophistication with American ease. For Fall ’14, the award-winning designer has collaborated with US retailer Target to product a limited edition collection that aims to “instill a feeling of power, confidence and beauty in women everywhere.”
Embroidered cotton-blend twill dress: This perfectly tailored tuxedo dress is cut to flatter your figure – satin-trimmed lapels fall in an elegant wrap-effect front and the spliced hem reveals just a hint of skin. The gold and silver heron embroidery adds luxe appeal to this piece.
The Trench. Some fashion love stories are meant to last, and the Altuzarra for Target trench in black, python-inspired jacquard gives this timeless tale a decidedly French flair. Strong in structure and richly seamed, this beautifully detailed coat effortlessly adds a feminine charge to an often-stern outerwear staple with its hip-swaying peplum overlay and gam-glamming, full-skirted fit. The details: fully-lined, belted and double breasted with shoulder flap, buttoned epaulettes and strap detail at the cuff.
Boy’s Club. The women’s tuxedo is much more than an evening gown alternative – it’s the attitude that show-stopping style doesn’t require a skirt. A dash of dapper is just right day or night, and in the right hands (yours!), this Velvet Blazer in Ruby Red from Altuzarra for Target can be award-worthy in the most unlikely places. The fully lined, stylishly-seamed jacket has a notched lapel with tonal satin collar, single covered-button closure and flirty, peplum-inspired back placket. Wear it with the ruby Velvet Ankle Tuxedo pant or slipped nonchalantly over a simple Tee. Contemporary tailored with slight ease.
Floor-skimming frocks are elegant, period. And with it’s dramatic plunge, sheer flounced sleeves, subtle sequins, tasseled neck-ties and oh-my high side slit, the Maxi Dress in Black Swiss Dot from Altuzarra for Target is the most delicate of gowns with the most decadent of detailing. Partner with the Croc belt in black for a stunning silhouette.
It’s time for a H&M Haul again… so I could not take my eyes of this beautiful tshirt. It basically says everything itself… New Fragrance? It’s me. It goes well with everything, and at £7.99 it’s one of my wardrobe staples. Here, I’ve teamed up with a checkered pattern skater skirt.
